Ordered a new toy today !

great looking scoop. how much does it weigh, and if you don't mind what is the cost? thank you and good luck with it.

I didn't weigh it. But it felt about the same as the RTG 5". It wasn't cheap. But I've been wanting it for awhile now. $263.00 shipped. $225.00 plus tax and shipping.

Finally got out with the new scoop ! Works well. It's like a steam shovel ! Takes a big bite. Can be heavy ( as expected ) when pulling a full scoop out of the sand. But the Amount of area it covers in each scoop , makes it worth it. Went to a small beach with very few targets. Still had fun and the scoop works great.

Sounds good! Glad you like it! I'm not sure when I'm ordering mine, cause hunting has really slowed for me lately, but it will happen!

I have had one of those for a couple of years and you will love it. I got mine with a travel handle. Pin-pointing the target is still the key especially in the surf. I sprayed the back of mine with that rubber tool dip and it made a big difference. Just a little food for thought. HH :minelab:

Hershey1, What do You mean when You say that You SPRAYED the BACK of Yours with Tool Grip? Sprayed WHAT, the Back of Your Scoop, and if so, WHY? THANKS!! Les Robinson.

I think he means that liquid rubber that you can dip tool handles into , in order to replace cracked or peeling rubber. And he's probably using it to provide some grip , so his foot doesn't slip while digging. Sounds like a good idea.
