Opinions on age of site??

I believe that the building in question is an old sharecropper's shack. Just my thoughts.

I've seen old "tac" barns like that building. They store their saddles, blankets, harnesses, etc. in the rooms. The rest was used for storing tools, etc.

Interesting! I think the overhang is a clue that the building was more then just a dwelling. Back in the day lumber wasn't cheep so the overhang was put up for what someone felt was a good reason.

From its looks, to me, it's an old gas station or small general store. If you have a probe or can get your hands on one try probing the grounds near the front for any indication of a still buried gas tank. Then again if it's a shallow tank a good detector in AM should pick it up.

What state are you in? Here in Mississippi every large farm had a store on it and post office for the hands. If your finding old pull tabs in the front I would say its an old store. Here is a picture of on that I have had a little luck. I have only been twice I found a buffalo nickel
And to wheat's, very trashy in the front. It's going to take time to unmask any coins. I would mark of a small section and put a small coil on and lower my sensitivity and dig all shallow targets first. The. The next time raze your sensitivity again. I have just started a small section in front of my store.
