A little tip because the cord is longer on the Koss QZ99 phones I put the volume knob on the left ear ( volume on left ear cup anyway ) and let the cord run over my shoulder across my back and under my right arm across to the Outlaw detector ( same with my other detectors ) This makes the cord a perfect length and keeps it out of your way in front of you ( over time the cord relaxes or stretches out a little ) Also it`s very comfy this way and allows you to set the detector away from you with out pulling it over with the headphones cord or having the cord in the way bunched up in front of you when needed down to dig a target.
Sounds good, I'll have to give that try. I was thinking about attaching the speaker cord to the rod with Velcro tries and running it out near the arm cuff.
any of you guys tried the wireless Rapoo 3070 phones? i think i got the number right- Rapoo brand. they are rechargeable, mid size. my guru put an adaptor plug on it for his 1/4 inch detectors. the sound was clear. no cord. both the phones and remote piece do 6 hrs on a 2 hr charge. $59. tried them on a Whites, Tesoro, and the At Pro he had. was impressive. yea the midsize phones let in some noise outside but i like to hear my surroundings. ran up on some hogs before not hearing them with some tight cup phones. hanging from a tree with my unit hanging on my headphones was not fun lol! i think wireless is the future. hear me Tesoro??????????????????
I got a set and tried them out. They're built well, very comfortable to wear, have a nice audio tone and knock out a lot of the surrounding noise. I just realized that I have one ear that hears better than the other one, so the one volume control won't work for me. I was hoping to be able to use them near noisy intersections.
