Yes I think I am getting alittle batty. I"ll try jewelry mode. Will it still hit the coins well? I have only had the 2500 for about 2 months now, still learning how to use it.
 
It works great in all modes . Try them all. I rarely use all metal unless I'm looking for something specific.

That's an interesting point about using a strait sweep, rather than the usual arc method. Worth some investigating.

I hate to say it but I watch my wife scan and she moves the coil one foot forward every time she takes a step and she still find good coin .In her mind she is covering all the ground.God help me if I say anything I just let it go .I hunt behind her.
