Old Garret Ground Hog. NEED HELP

Keith's website is :
www.brokendetector.com

Ive had a Ground Hog for at least 25 years and it still works great, at tiems it jsut takes a litle more time to get it adjusted jsut right tho

Are you guys still here? I have two of the old Garrets, Groundhogs. A VLF / TR Toggle-switch Ground Hog & a VLF / TR Push Button Ground Hog. They are complete and look like new. I have Scrub Covers for both 7 inch coils and both original manuals. I bought them new in the late 70's and found a lot of stuff with them, although I never did, and still don't feel like I mastered them. I'm really back into the Hobby and strongly considering buying a new Mine-Lab Xterra 705. I would sell both of these if anyone is interested and I can get a reasonable price. What do you think they are worth?

Thanks,

Keith Williams / anvilmanco

You might even be surprised that they have extra parts for them.I just ordered a new (old stock?) meter for my Groundhog.
Keith Wills is so backed up, as well as a busy man, and does a great job, don't expect a fast turn around.......

Hi Keith,
I recently purchased a Groundhog Pushbutton version in great shape for $35 locally, and a ADS (toggle) version with 2 coils on the big auction site for $50. Just depends on who is bidding. Why not hang onto the Groundhogs. When you get thoroughly fed up with the Minelab, just grab a Groundhog and enjoy:detecting:

Hi Roger,

I just now found your message to me and am beginning to think I may keep one and trade the other in to Garrett for something. They'll give me 40% Off on a AT PRO and after comparing best prices with that, if it still looks good, I'll do that. Probably get more value that way than trying to sell them. I've not had any hits yet on either Forum or Craigslist.

Regards,

Keith Williams
