Old detector New to the Simplex

Hello all. I have been swinging a detector for more than 40 years and got a Nokta Simplex+ WHP on the way. I have been reading all the info I can find but have not found an answer to one question. Does the Simplex keep your settings when you shut it off? If I set custom discrimination will it save it when shut off and back on, or do I need to redo it each time?

Oh, for anyone else who might ask, yes, the Simplex+ does keep your settings.

Except for frequency change. F2 interferes with my Garrett Carrot pinpointer bad, so I change to F1 and it is fine, but I have to change it each time I start my Simplex+ because it defaults to F2.

Just got mine and had wondered the same thing. So whatever you alter within a given mode will stay until you change it?
