OLD copper coin holder with silver coins intact

Me too From the looks of it iin his hand I would say Quarter size coins ! Did they make those to hold Half Dollars back then

Maybe one of the coins was a 1913 V-nickel in almost mint condition. That would be a good reason to disappear. Ha!
 
Wow that is too cool. Awesome find. I'm interested about the dates on the coins.
 
Yeah, I dug one of those in my yard, they are hard to find in any good state i think, but yeah, coins inside to boot, very cool !!
