Old Chesapeake Bay Gold..

Great find's guy's!! It's always very interesting to see the diversity of metal detecting areas and how individuals plan, and carry out that plan of action. It looks like this plan paid off and I'm positive there's much more to find on those private beach's from yesteryear! Looking forward to seeing more awesome finds and especially gold finds!!!

I use to go to all those beaches as a kid. Hunted them in the late 70's to early 80's. Much gold and silver found.

Thanks Mike, I ended up getting a better ladder because the Boys had to push my weak butt into the boat. When I showed the new ladder to Joe in Maryland, whole lives up around you some where, he said it could double as a walker....that's funny

Thanks to all for the kind compliments...Be Safe and HH........joe

Joe,

You're right that is funny. How deep is the water when you get out of the boat?

Once the depth finder started giving us a warning...we used the paddle to check the depth, went in about waist deep. The new ladder will be perfect, extends down to that level.

Joe,

My boat is pretty small 17 Triumph'. I can get it into some pretty shallow areas and was thinking about adding a ladder.

Mike

I wish I could afford a boat to check out this sandbar about a mile from where I detect on the river. Hundreds of boats hit this spot every weekend and hundreds of people swim there, also. Unless some of my competition his this spot, it's virgin territory and loaded with rings and coins. They don't even rent boats in this small town. Getting up a ladder would be tough.
