old carnival (newly bulldozed ) grounds coughs it up

You'd have to drag me out of that place, looks like a great spot to hunt. Hunt it as hard and long as you can before they cover it.

I'd hit that areas they dug the extra dirt from for the pipes. At one demo scrape some friends hit, they scraped about 8" of dirt, and then dug down another 6" for some pathways and the best and oldest stuff came from that extra 6" of extra depth.

Hi Brian,

That is exactly what I did this evening. They dug out a huge area towards the back of the lot for the next drain. However, I hit the piles of dirt they dug out and didn't find a thing. I worked all those dirt piles this evening and a new place in the front they bulldozed and found one wheat and a mystery copper. (nothing stamped on it - but it is almost the same size as a large cent) hmmm I really thought I would of come across more this evening. Oh well, there is always tomorrow.
