OK - Roll call - who's got an E-Trac (and does your wife know you have it yet? :heh:)

No, just kidding:biggrin:.......... but my current girlfriend has that privilege :lmfao:........whom I REALLY hope she's not reading this.

........................and if you are my dear..........................get back to work and make my dinner.......NOW.....!!!:ranting:.....:twodetecting:

E-trac........
Eric Foster Deep Star (p.i).
Explorer XS and
Modded Explorer XS (chest mounted land and water version )
Explorer XS E2
Explorer SE
Excalibur 1000
Tesoro Sand Shark(p.i)
2 x cheapies that can actually pick up thin gold chains at about 1/2 inch bunched up only

and my Whites DFX , with the Eclipse DD....which I am reluctant to sell..........because it can pick up a thin gold chain at about 1 and 1/2 to two inches.(coin for scale purposes):in Prospecting Mode and the chain NOT bunched up , but elongated. I know that it seems that it's highly unlikely that many of us will find or go searching for such small items of gold , but maybe one day it might be worth it. The DFX see's this type of jewelry better than all the ones listed above. It may even be able to see small very small alluvial nuggets for all I know.

No matter what coil I use on the Explorer's and the E-trac including the X-1, Joey, Platypus, Eq 4x7, Eq 14x10, any of the stock coils 15 inch WOT) they won't detect thin gold chains. Not even my Uni-probe or Vibraprobe can detect these small chains.

BUT the DFX does.

I have been told the Xterra 70 does it BUT who wants another Minelab:)clapping:).

It's a dilemma.

By the way, there are people out there who have spent a whole lot more and got a whole lot less in their pursuit of happiness and fun in hobbies and all I can say is that I could have bought maybe 1/5 of a decent "performance" sports car with the money I have paid for these and other detectors in my life.......instead, I am having and have had SOOO much fun using these detectors because this hobby is probably the best....for me.

So, here's to all of our good wives, girlfriends and lovers.........:beers:.....and may they never meet .................or look look into our garages, sheds and dens to see some our metal detector collections with all the "valuables" we have found using them.:devil:

Take care

"Honey, get me a beer.. the football game just started... oh yeah, and while you're up, would you throw my camo pants in the wash so I can wear them to go hunting after the game?" :crylol::stretcher:

Got me a Etrack Have not looked back yet. Only have about 10 Hrs on it so far but I like it a lot better than the SE. It runs so much smoother than the explorer.
Do not have to worry about the threshold going and not coming back forever over bad ground. It recovers quick and I can here a null and return of the threshold over every little rejected target. Will need a little more time with it but so far it is a keeper.

Its a totally different detector from the Explorer even though some will try and convince you otherwise, casing, battery and stems are the same and that's where the similarity ends

My wife knows but if she knew how much I paid... Hmmm, then I will post an add for young girls looking for treasure hunting partner :twodetecting: and I will be looking for new place to live...

I have two tectors. The F75 and the E trac. Lucky for me she doesn`t know the difference between each one, so if i bring out the F75 today ,and then come out with the E track a few days later . She`s that interested, that she doesn`t know the difference.I just have to hide the one thats not in view on the day ,that`s the only trouble.

I was to worn out to drive because of gambling from 6 pm to 8 am Friday none stop, so my wife drove us 6 hours to the dealer and then 2 hours more to get home to Texas. It's time to go to bed so I can hunt tomorrow, wish me luck.

she wouldn't understand at all if I told her I want to buy a Compadre, a TDI, and a CZ3D...

It's a sickness...

New E-Trac arrived today. She doesn't know. She said if I bought one more detector that she was going to leave me. It was a choice of her or the detector. God I'm going to miss her.

Happy New Year!!!

She knows, made me sell the XS. Just totalled up all the finds with the Etrac. $900.00 not bad for two months. Now what can I buy with that???????????
