Ok. Its getting too HOT to metal detect down here !

I live in Louisiana, despite the heat, Mosquitos, and snakes I still make hunts every week. I usually go out at daybreak and leave by 9:00am.

I agree, however I still have some wooded areas and some winter hut sites that I can get into this summer yet. Gets harder to find new spots so I do very little research anymore. I am in an area where people all but shoot you for asking (15 minutes south of Gettysburg,PA) all of spots around Gettysburg I used to detect have been shut down or the "rich" diggers go in and lease the farms to detect. Construction sites are good also if you can get in before the word gets out!
HH to all!

Working the beaches and still some relic hunting as long as there are no bugs,snakes,ect...but mostly hunting the beaches for gold. Chas,SC

Yea some spots in my area are a waist of time trying to get permission to. Unless you have friends or family that live there the answer will be NO! It sucks doing hours of research only to be told no. The spots I am able to hunt have been producing very well and were located through extensive research and countless hours in the woods and fields. Although the campsite I have been hunting lately is undocumented and only found by spending time in the woods. HH

People who do "OUTLAW DIGGIN" make it hard and at times impossible for others who try and hunt and gain permission the right way. Thats the hardest challenge i face whether there is hot or cool temps.
