OK, all you guys with Edges and Excels..

Be careful and use your rain hood. ;) I dated a nurse for a while back in the 80's. One of our salesman hooked me up with her and I will never forgive him, she gave me a dose.

Here is a pic of what I do to protect my foam grips, it also beefs up weak foam grips. Take black cork bicycle handle bar tape wrap it tightly overlapping and tape at each end with black tape.

Pic of a Whites detector I have with foam grip.

Take care,

Bill G

I ride Bianchi and the celeste and black cork grip would look smashing with the Edsge!! :D

;)Thank you,

I have a custom Co Motion Cycles road bike built to fit me. We also have a Co Motion Cycles Supremo road Tandem as well for me and the wife. I have rewrapped a lot of bars over the years, this is where I got the idea.
( NOTE FOR EVERYONE try to get cork tape without the two sided tape strip on the back side, or remove the tape strip it will stick to the foam grip and possibly rip it when you try to remove it later also keep the black tape on the cork tape only never on the foam grip directly)

Take Care,:spin:

I like the new grip. It is not a lessor quality grip, it's just different material. I think you will discover cost are the same. :yikes:

Now I can understand not everyone likes vanilla ice cream, so we have other flavors. I guess it's the same for the hand grip.

Just my 2 cents worth. :goodnight:

Mr. Bill

you send me the grip off of your Excel and I'll send you this #$%@& one from my Edge and then we'll both be happy. Bill, I understand different strokes and all but it's hard to believe you'd like THIS grip. With virtually no pressure at all, it collapses to the point that your gripping the rod with no padding. Are you sure that's the way yours is and what you prefer?

or just plain special :D Because I checked this close last night. The grip on my Edge is the exact same as my Excel grip :super:
I was kinda looking forward to doing a mod too :geek:
Speaking of grips......I've noticed that my hand has really become accustomed to the rod grip on the Excel/Edge compared to the much thicker "pistol" grip on the C$. I got a blister last time I used the C$ for a day :stretcher:

"hey little girl, wanna trade injections?"

Must have been before my coffee. I just grabbed the wrong Fisher to check.

The grip on my ID Edge is the same one that's on my ID Excel. I just check my new stock, and it's the same.

So that must mean that since I received these units they must have made a grip change. No wonder I couldn't understand all the fuss. :)

She's too hot to desecrate with a Joe Dirt looking thing like a Fumanchu. ;)
