Off on detecting holiday?????

This was our first attempt at a detecting holiday, we are both well not a scratch, we were told by the r.a.c. we should be dead.We replaced car and caravan and two weeks later we took off again.

Well it was a windy day and we were overtaking a double Decker bus,we had almost completed overtaking but as we came out of the wind protection of the bus there was one almighty gust of wind and it started to sway the caravan, we almost got it under control but the back wheel hit the gravel and off we went, rolled over twice and got trapped inside, some truckies broke the passenger side open to free us.If you have ever had an accident the odd thing about being upside down is you are totally disorientated really weird to get your bearings. Our lucky day but still battling the after effects i can't drive the four wheel anymore it scares me to death.

Cheers Maureen..

so sorry about your accident.. glad you are all ok.... when i was a kid my farther caravaned the whole family across the u.s. one thing my father always swore by was something called "sway control" ... im no expert on the subject but i dont see it on your rig.... it might have made the difference regaining control ..... just something you will want to look into if you tow again.... your safety has to come first... best wishes ... dave

Actually we did have stabilisers between the car and van but the power of the crash just knocked them off we found then further afield from the accident scene.

Cheers Maureen..
