Did My 5 day once a year {alone} in Oc Vacation, Got 3 Gold, 3 Silver rings, 2 Silver coins, 2 Silver er's..... a few junkers, and a 24k 8 gram Nugget. And did return one gold ring with 3 diamonds to a happy young lady. Got about 20 plus hours of video, so Gotta sort thur and find the good stuff. The Nugget came from North Oc from a area known for a couple ship wrecks....................Nugget was found early friday morning Pre-storm. Had to leave a little early, friend got hit hard a couple times in the surf, almost lost him so I got him back home to baltimore friday afternoon and he is fine just shaken. I'll be Going back Sunday for 2 days, but Gf will be along so, maynot get much time in...Good Luck to All ..joe

Almetal/PP hunting 95% of the time

Joe, Your a good man for returning the ring.I Have 2 wedding bands with engraving but there is not enough info to return back to the guys who lost them so in the kitty they go. You have my email address just let me know when you hit S. Jersey and we will meet up. Billy

I truly hope your friend was wearing some sort of PFD ! Even a good wet suit is better than nothing.
It can't be stressed too many times that if you hunt in the water you need to wear one. Sounds like
you were at least looking out for each other and that's a good thing also. Can't help but wonder
what the out come would have been if he had been by his self ???????? I know people get tired
of people like me harping about wearing them but I will keep it up in the hope's that it will become
more of a common thing to see rather than a rarity like it is today. These things are not that bulky,
are not that expensive and if you ever need one you need it in the very worse way right then!
Glad every thing turned out for the best and in last place; glad you found some loot to make it even
better.

xt18000........He swore he would never go out without one next time, bad part is I took two for the trip and he turned down the extra one I had. I myself had several knock downs early in the week {may have some video on that}, and mine stayed inflated anytime I'm was near the water, even if it did look stupid. SD the area I found the Nugget has a history of Sovereigns been found there, my only idea would have to be from the ship wreaks from the 1800's? Thanks RP, I'll be your way in a few years, retire.... then I can be a full time pirate..Getting ready to head back, sure all the good stuff is gone...thanks again guys...........Good Luck on your Adventures..............Joe

Good on you OLD BEECHNUT for at least thinking about not only your safety but your friends also
even though he did'ent think enough of his own to wear it.

Joe,
You are the man or should I say PIRATE. I got in about 7 hours Saturday. Lots of clad (greenies) and 2 pieces of costume jewelry. Waves were crazy rough. Saw about 10-15 life guard rescues from the rip currents. It may have calmed down by now. Good luck.
