Hi just to say after I gb my G2 wat number is the best one to set it at in the little window on the right hand side of the machine thank you everyone.
 
Whatever you want to make an iron tone sound on and below. Zero doesn't allow an iron tone. Fourty gives an iron tone on most small iron. Maximum gives a high tone on most modern coin tones except nickel, and iron tone on a few targets slightly less conductive than these coins and no sound at all under that. If you don't have a manual here is a copy, it should explain it:

Personally, I usually set it at 35 or so but to each his own.
