Today was the big day...After 29 years with the Virginia Beach Police Department, I finally pulled the plug. The down side: no more jumping in my Police Jeep every morning and cruising the beach for cuts. The up side: a whole lot more time to hunt whatever cuts I might stumble upon!

???? retirement or did you quit.. either way congrats,,, more time for important things.... life in the lane...

I retired..Had enough foolishness for one career.

Congrats
The only bad guys you have to deal with now, are the bottle caps and pull tabs.
Thank you for your service. Now relax and happy hunting.

Congrats on the retirement. I'm retiring next March or April to the Texas coast. I've had enough BS over the years myself. For me it's going to be metal detecting, fishing, riding my motorcycle, and traveling the US with my wife. I know, decisions, decisions, decisions. I'm happy for you and I'm right behind you!

HighTide in Austin, soon to be Padre Island

you will love retirement. I was at the same job for 36.5 years, retired early and have never looked back. When I pulled the pin it was like firing a start gun I was off and running, for the first 30 years it was Ok after that it got tedious.

Gerry :~)

You have earned that retirement now enjoy it. Thanks for your service. Now go find some GOLD or do whatever makes you happy. Good Luck. HH :minelab:

Its a tough job that keeps getting tougher!

As under appreciated as it usually is treated, there are many of us out here that salute you and your fellow officers, knowing full well that you are the only thing that stand between the good guys and total chaos!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Enjoy your retirement!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Steve :)
