Hi all,
I was fortunate to get out this weekend a few hours each of the last few days. The 10th and 11th were spent in a local park, I am still new and learning what my Fisher 1280x is telling me. My pinpointing skills are improving greatly, many times I am getting the object in the pulled plug.
On the 12th my wife suggested a different park, it paid off well. I had my best day yet, I also found my first nickel.
One question though, for anyone else with a 1280x I am not hearing different tones as they state in the manual. Are the tones that slight? Or can I have a problem?
Here are the pics.

that can help you with the tone question. You've got some good finds there and it looks like your on the right track. Keep up the good work and i'm sure the gold and silver will come.
