Hey Uncle Willy, if and when it gets to that point then nothing will matter and I guarantee that if they want to do that on a massive scale neither voting, or writing your caring congressman is going to prevent it. I woke up long ago to the democrat/republican control mechanism of "divide and conquer" and the reality of who really runs our government i.e. the federal international banksters etc.
I heard the same report you mentioned, but I'm sure you realize that my point really is that metal detecting is a wonderful hobby and a vehicle that many use to escape the harsh realities of a world gone mad and I respect your point of view and know exactly where your coming from, I just don't think the forum is the place to alert us. IMHO. HH

Wasn't trying to be political, just thought I'd drop that piece of mind boggling news on those who might not have seen or heard it. It's a recipe for disaster.

I think you ought to go for the 250 just for the fun factor involved. Then you could join all us blithering happy 250 users. I've got about eight detectors ( mostly big buck ) and they are all gathering cobwebs since I field tested the 250 and got hooked on it. Good luck in whatever you decide.

I have never seen either of the two detectors up close, but what do you think of the quality of your 250? Is it rugged? To me, at least from the pictures, they look cheap. But if they are built well like Garretts normally are, then I'll probably get that one. I don't know. The "fun factor" that you mention, is that referring mainly to the coins found or does it have cool bells and whistles that you can adjust and tweak? Thanks Bill.
