Jim,my wife has just informed me I'm fired as trainer for Patriot. One of our boarder's and friends will continue to train our Oldenburg.Early today she even put a down fence board up LOL the gals here do a good job.Going to see my doctor tomorrow and see how quick I can go detecting.I just got a letter for Jury Duty hopefully can get excused, maybe I'll get a written excuse from my doctor tomorrow.

Since you have been "fired", will that give you more detecting time? lol. I am sure your doctor will somehow incorporate metal detecting therapy to aid in your recovery :) Take care - Jim

One of my nephews had his knee scoped this past winter and the doctor told him he needed to incoperate walking into his therapy. So...He did as he was told and went varmint hunting.

ron, wishing you a speedy recovery...... one of the happiest days in my life and saddest days in my wifes life was the day she sold her little horsey..our daughter wrecked one day-mild concusion-ouch..... myself im just not a horse person, never did trust them because of the many many stories like your own.... if only those horses came with airbags......

I am glad you are not hurt any worst than you were,my daughter has a LARGE throughbred I just made her some new jumps 2 weeks ago it scares me when she is jumping but at 41 she is really good at it she started as a young teen.
oh by the way love your meter on my gt.

LOL,Patirot Ruler is a register Oldenburg ,but he is half Throughbred. His second name Ruler comes from Bold Ruler on the mares bloodline. That's PR IN 2007 I helped delivery him he is grey now.Mention to your daughter I competed as a Jumper. Thanks Ron

Ron, some beautiful pictures there. I'm sure they are a large part of your life, just like my dog Sky was of mine.

Critter, early today,my friend called.just wanted to talk I could hear a horse near by must be in his pasture, Don asked how everything was going we,talked about horses and people nothing of much substance or importance. He finally interrupted and said Ron I have to go,Poko is at the burial site and the Vet just pulled up.Poko developed very bad arthritis and had to be put down.Poko was Loris horse his wife who died 3 mos ago.I guess if there is a heavy Loris will have her horse to ride today.HH Ron

Ron, sad to hear and sorry...But I have no doubt she is riding that horse now. I used to think God was very microscopic in my view of the world and that only people on this planet are the ones who have potential to go to an after life. I know this is going to sound crazy to some because not too long ago I thought the same thing, but after getting to know Sky and seeing the "spark" behind those eyes, I have no doubt that dog had a soul. And I also have no doubt that God's got a place for them as well up there.

Seems like a big waste of material to build this planet and then only have your one creation (man) making it to be with the big guy upstairs. Many animals are such saints and pure of heart that I think they represent in many ways what God wants us to be in terms of unconditional love and not holding grudges and such. That's just the way I feel. After that dog died unexpectently it really opened my eyes to a lot of things about what is important in life and just how big God is. They say in the bible that man can't comprehend the vastness and wonders that God is all about, and I think one of those things we don't even grasp is that he's behind all life force on this planet, and that there is more than just simple programming behind something like a dog's eyes.

This is way off topic, but I also now believe that the universe is way too big just so this planet could float around in it. Got to be life out there. Just has to, and I think God did in fact spread life to many worlds. Now, there is where it gets even more "out there", but my theory is that God might have "raised" those life forms a bit different in terms of organized religion. I think on this planet he knew he had to do it one way to better mesh with man's culture, but on another planet he might have done it a different way in order to lead them in the right direction too.

Way off topic and out there, I know, but it's the way I feel these days as I get older. I feel man has a very microscopic view of what God is all about. Heck, even Jesus was very anti-organized religion in many ways. I feel all religions (well, most of them, but I won't call out the one I really question in this forum), are all working towards the same goals. It's man's variations on what God is about that makes the religions different, and in the end I don't think any of that trivial stuff really matters to him, so long as you are striving for the big picture of what he wants us to be.

Enough of my ramblings. That's just the way I feel, and in a way as I expand my view on what God is all about, I feel more at peace with him then I ever did with a more "strict" organized religion I was raised with.

Hope you heal up fast my friend....
