Nickel Notch -Want to find Buffalo Nickels

Well-known member
Good day

just wondering if someone out there had a spectacular nickel notch program to grab me a Buffalo nickel, or two? It’s been a real long time since I found one.

For me finding nickels all depended about the area you look. If its littered with pull tabs beaver tails its going to be challanging. In a normal setting hunting area what worked for me was digging 12-12 with mid tone. Build a test garden with the nickels get confident with tones numbers. You can try use a block edit program find them to. Best of luck to ya Have fun

They should download to your downloads file when you click on them.
Load them to your etrac with the etrac xchange program
This SC just purchased an E-Trac a couple of months ago. The etrac xchange software I just downloaded after your download. Have a long way to go. However, thanks so very much for posting the attach files. This will give me some time to work with and help to learn some of your quality xchange programs. After reviewing your postings, etc. I've believe I've found the E-Trac Forum to stay with. Thanks again and keep up the good work. CY - USAF 62-66

What would be the block edit numbers that I would use?

Check into loading Andys patterns he has a tight one just to accept coins. Its easy to load from pc to detector. If not avaiable use the block edit to discriminate out all but the nickels. If your still confused see if Youtube helps if not deffintely Pm me i do best help you out.

We are all here and most have years of experience to share with you...do not be afraid to ask any question...there are no stupid questions about an etrac.

I will get out and hunt for a buffalo nickel in the next day or so and will keep you in mind and if I can find one
Hit the church camp to find that buffalo nickel for you...came in as a 12-12 so the 110 pattern will get them for you.

I really hope other etrac users have got what you have said about 12-12 and the one I went out and dug at exactly those numbers...sometimes people ask questions and never respond back or seem to be gone for weeks at a time. That nickel is amazing ... it does seem that the most I find are 1919,1920, and 1937 nickels.
Thanks for your imput, michael NY !
