Newbie update

When you have questionable signals hold the coil over the target and move it side to side a couple of inches each way very rapidly. If the target is good it will signal as good. You're dealing with a motion detector which discrimates better and goes deeper the faster you move the coil over the target. By doing this you will find you have passed over a lot of good targets.

I looked thru all these posts. You got it goin on. Stay out of the trash areas until you get it figured out. That way you won't frustrate yourself. Then you can go back to the hard detectin' areas after you have more experience.:super:
 
I'm NOT going back into the side yard. I'm surprised lightning hasn't struck that yard with sooo much metal. :confused: no joke. Still after the elusive old penny that everyone else has gotten. I know it's in there somewhere!
 
:ranting:so I'll keep all this in mind for sure come spring. Anticipating already! Hoping I can still do beach hunts for a week/two. Gonna be a loooonnnng winter.
