There's alot of good entry Level machines out there, Tesoro, Fisher, White's etc.
I bought a very nice condition Cutlass II Umax off the Classifieds for 125.00
The deals are out there if you have the patience and know what your looking for.
One thing about buying Tesoro used is you always have their great Factory service to back you up should you need them.
I'm partial to older Machines, but thats just me, I actually like the Cutlass Umax better than the Silver Umax I had.
It's seems to handle the iron a little better and has better tonal qualities. JMO
I would get one Beep Dig Machine and one Target ID machine. That way you have target ID machine for some casual Coinshooting and a relic machine.
My wife swung a Prizm II for about 30minutes and complained about her arm hurting, so that was that.
If one of you is more passionate about the hobby you atleast have 2 diff. Machines to choose from.
I'd get an F2, Teknetics Delta or something Like that and a Tesoro Umax.
Good Luck and Good Hunting on what ever you decide
