New toy?

Looks like something new coming, Treasuremaster.

saw specs on it at another site but that link as been removed.. looks like a rebooted coinmaster GT as far as features go.. Just lower power consumption and new look.. Said 2 AA batteries, 3v don't seem like enough to get much of a field going.. course that may not be the true specs I saw.. Maybe it 's a pimped out TRX.. 3v..

Its not going to set the detecting world on fire is it,looks like a entry level machine which that end of the spectrum is all ready swamped with, its a higher end machine that they should be aiming at but much easier to use and setup than the current top Whites machine.

Thing is, you gota figure they sell more entry level machines than $1200 machines.. I mean in the other forums I see.."Whats the best machine for $200 or $300" every other day.. If the profit margin is more or less the same between selling 1 $1200 MD or 1 $300 .. Makes sense to get a front runner in the entry level area. You want a single tone machine or a 4 tone as a beginner.. bump the budget and go to 8 or 9.. forget which it was. Personally the 9 tones of the CM GT make coin shooting something a blind person could do as far as identifying the target. I much prefer the CM GT to the XLT or DFX for clad hunting and face it most entry level folks start at the local park of school hunting clad.. The current whites Coinmaster and coinmaster pro SUCK so this could be a big improvement. Someone on another forum said no VID but I think that big number in the middle of the display is VDI as it was listed in the specs.. VID, tracking, VCO, DD coil, 2 AA, and under 3lb for the more expensive unit seems like a winner compared to the competition.

That all said, a nice break through in function not fluff would be nice to see in a higher end machine.

n/t

That's it.. Oh well NO VDI.. so close yet so far.

They need a new VLF water machine more than this one!!

Looks like their trying to copy off the Teknetics eurotek design with the 7.8 frequency along with Minelab and Fisher as well.

"What's happening is they are all copying each other and the end result of that will be S*** detectors with the same characteristics, average performance, and below average build quality in order to beat 'the other guy' to market!

Sad really...because "White's" were such innovators.

It's evident that if one wants to progress in this hobby it will be necessary to spend over a thousand bucks!

With the LOW END it's a case of a race to the bottom!"

That chart is wrong, the ace series has vco pinpoint!

I would buy the TREASUREMASTER PRO any day before I would waste $300 bones on the new pos's MINELAB put out. 20 40 60.
* The picture above appears to show a well lit display with VDI. 2-AA's, Auto GB with Tracking, VCO, and interchangeable coils make it attractive for a low end unit. The lower Freq. should be a coin killer like the ace 250, only with out the annoying bell tones. I may stand alone here, but I think it's kinda cool, especially if it has a screen similar to the v3i colors. $400 is also MSRP. The 16 segment VDI does seem a little limited though. If I had a friend that bought one, I would definitely want to take it out for a day. Would I buy one, probably not, because I already have the MXT PRO.

Any one else talked to the White's factory and been told a higher end unit to come out 3rd quarter of this year?

Found more info on a Whites site in Italy, with close up pics. Translated with Bing http://mediaelettra.com/treasuremaster.htm
Both models have VDI numbers and actual depth reading in inches and metric, along with tone ID.

Well....at least they are trying.

Looks like a nice machine, I just hope they come with cam locks on the shaft. I didn't see them in the pictures.

It looks like no cam locks but wouldn't think it would cost much to add them.......

That's BS. If it were true, you wouldn't see so many who buy those $1000+ machines and turn around and sell them 2 weeks later with "only used 3 times" in the description. There's no Tesoro over $1000 and they find just as much as the $2500 machines. Learn the language of any machine that has a 9-10" field and you will find what the higher priced machines will findup to 8", where 95% of all hidden targets reside.

I totally agree!!! Just spent yesterday afternoon with the gofind. - It's a cruddy unit with no innovation let alone basic settings l.
No depth and quite an ugly coinage to trash distinction. I wouldn't give one to a kid.
This new whites tmaster pro has promise!

You obviously haven't spent much time with the lower end units Des...... Some have exceptional secrets and can easily out hunt higher end units.

And since when were Whites"Innovators".

How's your Racer going after you publicly begged for a freebie?
