Just pickup the 3vi today! Ive been useing a dfx for the last 6 years.after reading this fourm for the past year it convinced me to take the v3i plunge.boy was it fun to play in the backyard today with it.cant wait for the weekend.thanks for all the info on hear.great fourm.

Welcome. Must be interesting coming from the DFX. From everything I have heard the V3i is deeper and easier to set up (and more of a detector in every possible way) than the DFX. Should be an easy transition for you.
