Keep the coil low to the ground and don't give up when you start digging a lot of junk.

What type of detector are you using? SL52 offered great advice! Scan slow, keep the coil low and learn what the detector is telling you. Unfortunately, bottle tops, foil, pull tabs, ferrous items and other metallic garbage is part of the hobby. Try not to get discouraged with the junk. I know I dig more then my fair share
