A lot of info is posted on the DFX classroom forum, the DC Phase is the first sticky at the top. http://www.findmall.com/read.php?28,772312

I just got this detector took it to the back yard iron pit the word crap comes to mind :sadwalk: but I don't give up so easy will take it to a park more open spot and have a go.

must say coming from switch on and go all the settings are a pain sure working out what I need and saving it will help when I work out how to do that :punch:

all the rave about this detector it must have something going for it ????? just not sure I know what that is yet.

As stated before, the DFX has a long learning curve AJ, give yourself at least 6 months.

Thanks Larry for the support

starting to come to terms with that time is going to take time with this detector.

just getting my head around what lives where and how to get there etc.. and when to push what , so just getting a handle on that stuff even before I hit the dirt so I am not stranded wondering what to do.

but I have a plan and getting a handle on the settings at least where they live etc..

its like brand new this detector hadn't even had the foam stuck on the arm cuffs or the rubber feet on the box so I just had to have it

and I wanted a challenge something to get me thinking and this detector does that

so thanks hey !!

AJ

fingers crossed and thanks, hope you do the same

it has me set the detector not the detector do it for me so I guess its putting to the test what I think I know so if I am up for the challenge it has to be a fun thing right

let us know how you go when you get the DFX.

AJ...

You can make a program and name it to save it, kinda neat if you like to fiddle with controls. I used the Coins & Jewelry as a starting program and changed some adjustments like VCO for the all metal mode, Pre-Amp Gain upped to 3 and changed to 3 filters for a slower sweep speed. Using a single15 kHz operating frequency with "Normalization" turned off was a good way to look for jewelry. "Best Data" in two frequency was best for coins. GL & HH

thanks for the mode tips Hombre, I just made a program and named it so I am getting better at the software who knows if it works :lmfao: but thanks for the tips will keep them in saved here for future reference I think I am ready for a real hunt now.

should be interesting !!

thanks again you guys.
