New Tesoro

I tend to think the idea of improving/modifying some of the existing models makes sense. I'd like to see a larger screen on the Cortes and the ground balance tied to both the AM and Disc modes. 4 tones would be nice as well.
BB

That too!

I think everyone wants more tones? This is forsure.

Not everyone. What's up with the tones anyways, I let my discrimination decide the digging. I set my disc. to where I want it and dig everything that beeps.

Determining ferrous/non-ferous is an easy one for most. Don't bottle caps ring up with a high tone anyways?
If I bought a toned machine, I would want only 2, maybe 3 tones. And I would want to be able to set where the tones kick in on the disc scale.
That's why I bought the Golden Sabre 2.

How about making the Compadre go deeper, like 14 inches!? Or make so it has an interchangable coil. I doubt it would cost the company too much to modify their existing units. People are alreay doing the mod for the compadre and it seems pretty simple. Why not make it so with the warranty?

Having multiple tones can help you find a good target that is partially masked by another (I normally use 4 tones while hunting with my Omega) its not a sure thing by any means but I'll take all the help I can get as I don't care to dig every signal. I'd like for Tesoro to come out with a DeLeon that uses hot technology, multiple tones, and auto ground balancing. If they do the Omega is gone and I'll own another Tesoro if not my next TID machine will be by another manufacture.

The logical choice to me would to build on what they have right now. Don't spend all the money on R&D right now, but give us tones on the Vaquero and maybe even the Silver

theyre all bringing out new machines you hear whispers about a new Fisher ,and other hot kit about to hit the market this year ,then theres the Bulgarian machines which are deep .
things are hotting up on new kit this year

Are the new detectors getting less depth than older detectors? It seems to be the case with the AT Pro and AT Gold. I've read some are suggesting that they are mostly around 7" average. That's what my Compadre gets.

I love a good conspiracy theory and it almost seems that the newer detectors get far less depth but you get all the bells and whistles. The older detectors had less toys but got deeper results. Not sure if this is the case. Does anyone know if it's true?

I also saw a vid on those OKM detectors that cost like $56,000. Ouch. They claim to get a lot of depth. And some have a display of the actual ground and what's underneath the probe. Sending the info and image to your cell phone. Now that's technology.

All I would like to see is a cibola with 3 led lights and water resistant. red, yellow and green. Killer combination.

I'd love to see a new fresh water detector that didn't weigh 20 pounds. They have all these light weight units. Why do the water units have to weigh so much.

Ok if your are going to yak about pin pointers and $5,000 gold detectors, then you need start a new post!!

Are you freaking kidding me?? Maybe in your fantasy land Forum the world revolves around what YOU want to talk about but in a OPEN forum that states "New Tesoro" it means people can discuss what THEY would like to see aswell as everyone else. Besides if you want to talk about 'New Tesoro" maybe you could "Yak" in the 100's of posts already discussed about the same topic over and over and over and over...but I guess your special and all...pffftt whatever

I WANT A NEW PINPOINTER AND $5,000 GOLD HUNTER FROM TESORO thats what I'm going to ask for in every "New Tesoro" thread from now on.

i would like wifi headphones its not too much to ask as its not rocket science nowadays .
oh and dont forget the 3D imageing ....

This question is brought up about 3 times a year. Everybody who has ever liked a Tesoro has done everything but beg Tesoro on their hands and knees for an updated Cortes or whatever. While I'm an old Tesoro lover from way back I just don't think the company has any serious plans for any serious updates ...EVER. My own opinion is they're just going to ride on past successes as long as possible. I hope I'm wrong but I'm 98% sure I'm right.

I must admit I don't get it. I would think someone would see this company as a potential gold mine and offer them a good price. With new blood working in conjunction with the originators this company could fly off the map in future sales (in my opinion).

But admittedly this is a comment from the "peanut gallery" and obviously not within the realm of possibility (for some strange reason).

So, lets just enjoy the brand as long as we can.
