I don't give a rip about facebook. Please post the Outlaw detector info on the Tesoro website or at this site.

Thanks

Tabman, All of my pictures are too big to put on this forum!

Reduce their size. Surely you can put them on the company website.

Thanks

The company employee writes the field test and "hits it out of the park" because no one else will.

I'm really am furious. Who do the Tesoro engineers listen to? The fans want a new metal detector so lets piddle with the Vaquero and see if that quiets them down? Outlaw is a good name for it cause I hate it already.

I'm not going to say anything else. I think others can read just as good as I can.

Mike

For a limited time only, I'm offering a free 30 day evaluation for new detectors.
Don't wait! Send me one now while time lasts!

I would have been happy to help with the presentation for free.
This almost seems like a one day "OK let's do this" kind of move.
Ducks in a row? Presentation?
Send me one now for a complete and honest review!:|

Unfortunately, we can not make 100% of you guys happy. If bells and whistles are what you are looking for, there is always the CT 3030 at a $2600 price range.

If you want a pretty biased one, send his to me .

Robert,

Does the new Outlaw ground balance in both modes of operation (all-metal & motion discriminate) ?

One more time:tesoro:

It does ground balance in both all-metal and disc

I'm excited to see a new detector from Tesoro, but it looks to me the unveiling of the machine wasn't planned very well. A post on a detecting forum isn't exactly the way I expected to hear about a new Tesoro, with no pictures of the new machine.
I was hoping to see a video of the new detector in action finding jars of silver dollars and Wells Fargo chests full of stolen loot. I have to admit I am a little disappointed in this aspect.

The Outlaw looks vaguely familiar.....kinda like the Vaquero sitting here beside me.....just different cosmetic colors. I hope that isn't the case. I really hope this is new technology from Tesoro instead of a rebadge of an existing detector.
Another thing I noticed was none of the requests of countless Tesoro users were incorporated into the new detector. We asked many times for tones on the Vaquero, well really all of the detectors would benefit from the addition of tones, but I see no mention of them.
A twin disc circuit like the Tejon would be helpful on some detectors. No mention of waterproof or not which makes no difference to me because I'm not gonna be hunting in the rain with a lightning rod in my hands, but some guys might.
I like the fact that the detector comes with a coil package but what if you already have the H.O.T coils for your detector, or are these a totally different animal than the present H.O.T detectors use? Can the new detector be purchased without the coil package?

In reading the review of the new detector it seems the ground balance is only tied to the all metal mode and not the disc mode. Did I read this right? It makes no sense if it is only tied to the all metal side only like the Cortes. The ground balance needs to affect both modes.
I would like to see a review by a non- Tesoro employee in real world coin hunting enviroment. Robert is a nice guy and I'm sure he wouldn't tell us something if it wasn't true, but get the machine in a few different hunters hands and see how they review it in different soil conditions.
I love Tesoro detectors but the new detector seems too much like what I have now in my Vaquero. Where exactly does this detector fit in the Tesoro lineup? Is it more powerful than the Vaquero and Tejon, or is it on the same level of performance?

Roger

I understand that it is not a Vaquero, nor is it a Cortes or a Tejon but something else.....an outlaw. What I don't understand though is why? Perhaps I am not reading it through well enough or just not getting it but I don't see anything "new" in here that differentiates it from the rest of the Tesoro line up; it seems very close to the Vaquero but isn't one. Instead it's a Bandido II umax on steroids, a detector that has come, gone and been replaced. I see something for easier pinpointing, which tesoro is already great at and have to ask so what? I see a package of coils that come with it and while that is attractive to many, it is bloat to others and drives up the price. Why?

I'm not trying to be all negative; I mean I'm happy to see something new from one of my favorite detector companies, but I feel let down like some others is all. Yes, the world does not revolve around me or anyone else, but it just seems to be lacking and still has me asking why it was produced? I think that Tesoro fans were thinking along the lines of something that incorporated some of their favorite features like tones and notching from the Golden, larger display target identification, frequency switch from cibola, dual discrimination from the Tejon, who knows maybe multiple frequencies or something. I think most were looking for the vaquero with tones and notch. Could all of this possibly fit into one unit for an affordable price? I don't know, but for what it is, you might as well buy the Vaquero and save some money unless you wanted all three of those coils eventually. So why?

Again, not trying to be a pest and keep asking why and I'm very excited to see a new Tesoro out there, but I think I'd rather have the Golden, or the Vaquero or Tejon for their features unless I am just not getting it with the new Outlaw. Maybe I will reserve further judgement until we see some tests from users or understand the features a little better. Maybe there are different tones in there somewhere and they were not mentioned maybe?

Me, I'm kind of honored that they chose US. I can wait on photos for a week or so. This seems like Tesoro wanted to hurry up and tell their best buds about a new machine...

From reading the explosion of posts on the forum, this clearly is an emotional day for everyone....
