New pin-pointer suspense

Don't we have good pin pointers already? Yes we do but mine is getting tired and This one, according to some owners
is getting 3 to 4 inches depth. I will deffinitely get one, but hopefully the detector dealers will discoount it.

Question: can the TRX get this deepth ONLY if super tune? Does this mean if
it isn't, it gets the same depth as the Garrett ppro pointer?

TRX super tuned???----Do you work for Garrett?

The TRX has no need for trying to super tune. You pick one of the 4 power levels that works best for you and you can ratchet down from each of them. The TRX can ground balance to get maximum depth.

Sun Ray watch out!!

Maybe I asked the question the wrong way. It was suggested
in another post if you DETUNED the garrett Pro pointer you could get depth similar
to Whites TRX. Fact or fiction?

Fiction Robert. I get up to 4 inches with my TRX, and no matter what I do, my Garrett is nowhere close. Maximum depth is not always ideal for pinpointing though, but one tap of the button on the TRX will detune it for better pinpointing, two taps and you are right there on top of the target. You get the best of both worlds with the TRX.

It does turn out to be fact but only slightly according to this Garrett video.
I never knew you could do this.

I checked it out myself. It does increase the depth though
not as substantially as the TRX. I got maybe an extra 3/4 of an inch.
The demo video shows more.
So I guess I'm going to buy me a TRX.

I used my wedding ring to "supertune" my propointer by moving my hand closer to the tip.......... no need to do that with the TRX..... don't even know if it can be done

Robert, you've got your terms confused. Detuning decreases depth and it's what you do to help you narrow down a target.

I did buy one but before I bought it compared it side by side to Garret & Minelab was at least 2-3 inches deeper in the air testing. It made a believer out of me as I was very sceptical as I had owned their previous model & in my opinion it was junk, I currently own a Garrett & had planned on buying Minelab on recommendation of a good friend. My personal experience changed my mind.

Yup..... I think White's has hit a grand slam with this one......:yikes:

Used mine on two hunts so far. I like it a lot. More depth and I also like the fact that it is just hot on the tip area. I use the vibrate mode and have had no problem feeling it with my thin detecting gloves on. It works alittle different than the Garrett and you need to learn how the White's works. If it is durable it is a winner, would not leave home without it.
