New multi frequency machine

Really hope it collapses to 25” like the simplex. The simplex with SP 24 fits in my backpack (tennis racket bag) And is quickly in use.
I only use the elliptical coil on the fiber shaft but I have the 11” on the stock shaft if I need it. Not sure if that would fit in the backpack without removing the lower shaft, but not my regular use coil so it’s moot.

Wow, 10K views and 101 replies. There's a good bit of interest in this machine. Probably a good many Equinox's out there with expired warranties or getting ready to expire soon. hmm..

At least Nokta is giving us some info. Most manufactures say little to nothing on new projects. As long as it's fairly light and priced sanely I'll buy it. Nokta has turned into a world class detector company. Why? Because they listen to us, the users, and then mfg. a quality product. Does any detector made fit all our desires? Not hardly. We are all different with different "wants".

I'm waiting until Labor Day. That would give me a couple of weeks with it before I head to California for some detecting with one of my nephews.

Hope it is before that but I can live with Labor Day. Prospecting hunting or general hunting in CA? Good luck either way.

SOON ... that's when I am hoping for. Each day that passes is one less day to enjoy this great sport, and especially one less day to put a new top-end SMF to work. I'm sure the N/M folks will come through with a very competitive and affordable device, but I want it now!

I continue to enjoy the opportunities to grab my Simplex + with 5X9.5 Double-D coil and put it up against some of the different current models they use for some side-by-side comparison tests, only to see their reaction at the Wow! performance results.

And then I tell them that this is a great example of why I am excitedly anticipating a Nokta / Makro SMF device to challenge the market. No doubt the 'challenge' is going to be for the competitors to come up to the level N/M will market.

And as stated, SOON can't be soon enough. I think I need to get an email off to Dilek with some reminders, and work on some new permissions now that I have moved to Texas. I am settled here in the Heart of Texas almost midway between FTP to the West and Garrett to the east. I'm getting several people together in a couple weeks for a little metal detector instruction and demonstration and sure wish the SMF would be out by then.

There is still a lot of detecting season left this year and it would be great to start making finds with the new device. Of course that includes having one or two good coils for it as well. I hope they come through this time with a good assortment of coils had the release date.

Sounds very promising.
