I know there are chip shortages around the world, but this detector delay has been going on for way too long. The economy over the whole world is bad, especially in Turkey (AND the USA), and there are supply problems everywhere. Don't expect too much right now.
Hopefully when introduced, the no name detector will have waterproof headsets available that can be submerged.. Lots of people would expect that feature but no mention of that was addressed in any video Dilek made. Bluetooth is useless with the detector submerged. Also when released, Makro/Nokta should give 2 different size coils with the initial release as the standard. The 11" coil Dilek said would be the main coil, as-well-as a 6"- 9" coil. This would do wonders for all of us that are still waiting for the no name machine, and with all this extra time, all or most of the bugs should have been eliminated by the actual release.I really like Dilek's enthusiasm for the Nokta Makro brand. Unfortunately for the new SMF machine, her enthusiasm has created a bit of a marketing mess because she was too early with her "almost introduction" last May. With her last video, she has curbed the intro enthusiasm, given the fans of the new machine a more realistic bit of information and shut down any more talk until the machine is ready. Although I am disappointed that the machine is not ready, I am ready to wait it out given the information we already have. All I can hope for is that the SMF, when introduced is up to the high level of construction and operation that she has told us the detector would have.
Here in Maine as wellIt's starting to get cold here in the Midwest. Probably be late getting it out. The ground will be frozen and we will have to wait till spring. Just my thoughts...
Can detect here in Nevada pretty much all year. Water detecting is hit and miss but usually fields and parks are not frozen. It's starting to get cold here in the Midwest. Probably be late getting it out. The ground will be frozen and we will have to wait till spring. Just my thoughts...
Looking up specs Simplex with the 11 inch coil is 2.9 lbs, the equinox 600 with 11 inch coil is 2.96 lbs. Pretty close to the same, yet does not appear that the Nox is lighter. That said, I've swung relatively heavy detectors that I could use all day because they balanced well; and light detectors that hurt to use not long after starting because they were not well balanced, had bad grip angle or badly placed arm rest.Nox 600 is lighter than the simplex. Also Nox is a better all around machine and even lighter with the 6" minelab coil. Found most of the good stuff the last few years with the Non 600 and Minelab 6" coil, If your shoulder hurts or fatigues with a large coil you will like that combination. As far as the new Nokta/Makro SFM machine, who knows when it will be released. I was hoping for the holidays but the silence from Dilek (the Makro rep.) is deafening.
Agree. I was referring to the 6" coil on the nox 600. It will take a lot of strain and pain off your arms and shoulders. Simplex might be a little lighter but with the 11" seemed heavier to swing than the Nox with the 11" coil. I guess it's all is in your preference.Looking up specs Simplex with the 11 inch coil is 2.9 lbs, the equinox 600 with 11 inch coil is 2.96 lbs. Dilek said 11" would be the main coil with another mid size to follow, in her last video. Can't wait to see what size coils will be available . Hope for 11 inch and a 6 inch coil. Just have to wait and see.
I was told an 11" and a 6". Just fine for me.Can't wait to see what size coils will be available . Hope for 11 inch and a 6 inch coil. Just have to wait and see.
