New Minelab.

Anyone else out there in the US heard anything about Minelab coming out with a new detector? It seems the boys in the UK say they is a new one coming, but I haven't heard anyone here on the forum saying much except for the fellow in the UK if that is where he is from.

The coil looks lighter, so that will help the balance issue.

Does it have a smart screen you can see. Did they do anything about the can't see the screen in daylight. Are the digital numbers larger like the Xterras. I know about the Pinpoint, increased sensitivity, weight, and that is great. How about some info on the Detector. I am already interested but only if they did somthing about the screen and the numbers and if you can see the screen. What are the other improvements . :D: :D: Thanks Jerry aka Tinfoil.

Hi Guys

Great to see my Photos are getting good look all a round the world :clapping: I took these as Des was showing us the new Explorer SE on Saturday 2nd September 2006 at the Minelabowners Corfe Castle Rally..

I did post you guys before about this SE model but for some reason you all seemed to not be interested.

It a Nice black colour it its lighter and the batteries last longer.

Its still FBS and all your current coils wil fit and work ok.

It is even more sensative than the MKII and on a test run at Corfe yesterday it was pulling out 2,000 year old coins.

A very important improvement is for all the guys who moaned about pinpointing now its childs play as with the X-Terra.

Are you guys across the big pond listening this time and did you read my mail of yesterday?Jerry. Bristol UK.

it is capable of FBS AND selectable single frequency.

The Guy in this Photo holding the new Explorer SE (Special Edition) is Des Dunne from Minelab & that is MY photo of him :clapping: I took that on 2nd of September at the Minelabowners Corfe Castle Rally..

Taggy :clapping:

Jerry. I think maybe the guys over the pond cant believe that we got to see this one first before they did, maybe they are a little teed off and can't believe its true. There are 20+ improvements listed on the blurb over the XS2. All the details should soon be online for everybody to see.

to be able to see and hold this wonderous new toy before us Yanks.

Teed off?? NOT

n/t

Yes, but we had to detect all day in heavy rain and high winds for the privilege :wiggle::tongue::detecting::ukflag:

More like PEEVED OFF for us kangaroo kids.

One can almost forget about getting on of these over here from Minelab Australia( I believe that even the good people over here are limited to the info they have and can release).

UK, EURO and US will be will probably be stocked with the Ex2 SE and have access to stock long before us. I believe the market for the Explorer is SO limited over here "Up Over"(Down Under) that we'll end up getting last crack at the tail end, well into production and after the sales have been met over seas. Maybe that's a bad thing or maybe that's a good thing.

Not being too critical here, but you'd think we would have a crack here in Australia FIRST as well or at least on par with the availability of the EX Se 2 as the USA.

NOT FAIR. THE PAIN, THE PAIN, OH THE PAIN OF IT ALL.

It's going to be a LONG wait for us over here, Just like the last time.:nopity::cry:

Ya bunch of lucky lucky buggers!!!

Hard Nosed Dave
