You have to be careful on this forum. We will talk you into more Tesoro detectors. Like the Compadre. Do you have a Compadre yet? If not , you cannot belong to the CHURCH OF THE COMPADRE. I also love my Vaquero. Had it for a year now. Just bought the 5.75" coil for it. Have fun & enjoy the hobby & this net.... KEN

Welcome aboard! First off you chose the right brand detector. In the long run you will be better off without the display and a better hunter by learing beep and dig. If I were to get a display detector, it would be the Deleon or Cortes. Can't rule that out!

Thanks Ken! Never owned a compadre the Vaquero is my first Tesoro but that doesn't mean I dont want one! Been trying to get my wife into the hobby so i might need to buy a Compadre for her to use..
