Omen or not? You be the judge!
Took delivery of a Tdi sl this morning, little used and way lighter than I thought. So got my jobs done and took it out to the test garden, which is literally my lawn.

1st target was the US item (fluke?) Its copper alloy and is about 40mm square, my guess is off an old belt.

2nd obviously the button.

Nothing outstanding about that I hear you say but......the garden was laid down in 1850, and if you took a section through it, it's as follows.

Top 2" top soil, the next 8" are ash/coke and brick rubble before you get down to a clay cap, that goes over an old rubbish dump.
No machine I've had has got anywhere near to the clay cap, but this did, yes I dug some nails but I know they are there and am prepared to dig all. Can't wait to get it in the field.

Nice recoveries! Not sure if off a belt or a cap piece off of some type of machinery. I’ve never seen anything quite like it and I’m sure someone here will know more!!
