New & Improved RNB Batt Pack and Charger

Why don't you go ask the Manufactures and see what they say?

Then you can come back in here and report!

And we don't pay anybody for endorsements..

I DID go to the manufacturer , YOU.
An endorsement from any of them would be a terrific feather in an accessory manufacturers cap and dispel the ever present question of warranty issues that pop up every time someone brings up the matter of Li batteries. Good business says good endorsements lead to greater sales--I don't care if you pay them for the pat or not because I doubt a White's or Minelab is going to endorse something which they have no confidence in. Of course it cuts into the sales of their own batteries which makes their approval of using your product all that much more meaningful. I imagine whatever White's might ask for an endorsement Minelab would want 3x that amount.

For the record , I use the RNB myself and couldn't be happier with it but I also realize there are viable altrenatives such as the latest generation of rechargable NiMh batteries.
You might consider dismounting that defensive high horse you're riding. :)

I thank you for purchasing our Batt Pack & Charger....

The only horse I'm interested in is California Chrome at Belmont hoping the underdog wins......

Seriously we are not on any kind of a High Horse....... We are right down to Gods Earth!

Peace!

Great response  ! I'll be pulling for the Chrome myself--if he can get another great ride , down a great homestretch , he will be considered another great horse :) !

I think you have a great product but it's also a bit pricey IMO. I think it would be great if one of the great big manufacturers would dispel the concern about Li+ batteries as it would greatly increase your sales and prices usually drop greatly as production increases. :) The CTX3030 uses a Li+ battery so I don't understand their warning in the manual with the e-trac. Perhaps they have plans in the future of introducing a Li+ of their own---of course if it's "Minelab" it will cost 40% more than yours. :)

If I had your new 3100 Mah battery I'd probably lose the charger between charges , I have a hard enough time remembering where the charger is with the 29.

LOL!!

I agree!

I always seem to forget where I put mine because I "put it away between charges"

Problem is its never the same place!!

You can buy a replacement Minelab 1800mah Nimh Batt Pack and an 18 hour Charger for about $115.00 or buy the ML-3100 with a 2 hour Charger for $139.99 ... I think it's a No Brainer!

The charger for my RNB battery fits really tight. I am worried that I may break the connection in the battery every time I plug it up. Is there anything I can do to make the connection smoother? I sure don't want to ruin the battery. I haven't had to charge it but 4 or 5 times but I have to force the connection...

Try spraying WD-40 on the Connector...

Thanks! I will try that! I really like how long this battery last! I just want to make it last...

If that don't work .... Call me and I will send you another charger

The CTX3030 uses a Li+ battery so I don't understand their warning in the manual with the e-trac.

The li-ion warning on the etrac i believe is against using 8 individual batteries.

Hi Bill in Ohio,

The reason they said not to use Li-ion AA Batteries is because the Li-ion AA Batteries were 2.7 volts and when load 8 AA Batteries in a e-trac

machine that's almost 22 volts and that would fry the circuit board.. "They don't make them anymore"

Our Li-ion Batt Packs are 12.5 volts......No Harm to the e-trac at all...... except they last a very long time!

Great Question!

Yes i knew it was something about volts and singles. I use your 2900 battery in my etrac. Best money spent thanks for making all of our lives better !! :).
