New Fors CoRe issues - need advice

Hi AlanTN, Your machine sounds like it is behaving exactly the same as the machine I had and returned. I see that you have only had your Core for about 2 weeks, where are you located? By any chance are you in the MN area? That is where my dealer had me ship my defective machine.

Hey, thanks for responding, rlt9999.

I am in middle Tennessee.

I'm holding out hope that it was an isolated issue... Something about the ground being so wet perhaps. (The holes would fill with water as I was digging)

I have not had those readings when doing air testing at home. The same horse shoe halves were coming up 20s-40s depending on angle when air testing.
I got a repeatable 80s on a 2" iron ring I dug if it was flat to the coil during air test, at angles though it was coming up 20s.

I did get mine from the place in Florida you mentioned. Not sure how they handle defectives, or if they do at all.

If I'm not mistaken the place that you got your machine has a 30 day satisfaction return policy and can be returned for any reason.
How about ground balance on that machine, do the readings you get coincide with your other machines in the same area?

Yes, they have a 30 day "hassle free" return policy. I have no experience with it, but the fine print reads, to me, like I wouldn't get a full refund.
Their policy for defective machines is 7 days then you must return it to the manufacturer.

Sadly, I have nothing to compare the ground balance to. It was coming up in the 50s I believe. Before this machine I have only used Analog type machines.

I will keep testing with it, and probably contact Nokta for a repair or exchange - if I feel confident in the machine being defective. They seem like a great company that will stand by their product.

Thanks again for replying
