I wish Dave you could at least say if Fisher is engineering a waterproof detector. I am so close to buying the at pro but would love a first texas waterproof instead. I am on the ropes about purchasing any detector now with hopes of this new one.

Dave has been really good about not giving us a clue. Only hints at a new machine. I am sort of in your boat. I want a new water machine soon. Do I get a new Excal II? CZ-21? Or wait an see if the new machine is indeed an upgrade to CZ-21. I own a 1280 and an Excal II.

Its a purchase to be made within a year an its only really between the two. I would not go for something like the CTX3030. But, a new water machine built like a tank like the 1280 or CZ-21...I am down. Id order it as soon as a vendor had it up for sale...probably go local here.

The rumors lean to this December for an announcement. I am pretty much willing to wait until at least then for a new machine anyway. Come next spring I hope to have a new addition to the family. lol.

Why fix what aint broke comes to mind and the CZ21 is an upgrade to the CZ20 and sort of feel a combo is not on their mind but an upgraded land unit is on their drawing board whether it be along the F series or CZ line or a combo of both in one new upgraded unit..

One could presumably say the same thing about their land machies.

I don't know how they are going to sell many more water machines unless they come out with something incredible. For what people use water machines for is pretty much already out there. Further, water machines are a specialty market relative to land detecting.

However, if they come out with a digital CZ that is lighter, faster, DD coil, etc. - that will impact the E-Trac, CZ's, etc. Just think as a business decision a new CZ would really sell well. One could say the same for a new F series detector. Don't think the same can be said for a water machine - but that doesn't mean they won't make one.

I really don't understand what the big tease is about. If Fisher is coming out with a new CZ, just say so.

Maybe they're afraid of hurting sales for the current batch of CZ's they're selling.

But that can backfire. If company X has a new water detector and Fisher says nothing about a new CZ, a detectorist might just pull the trigger on the brand X model because there is no point in waiting for a new CZ when Fisher remains tight lipped about it.

So not only does an current model CZ not get sold, but neither does the new model.

I have been waiting for close to two years now.
Been saving.
Selling everything not used.
I did go with the Etrac 1 1/2 years ago and it has helped a lot for my area, but I'm still sorry I traded the LTD. I bought a GATPRO (you guess) was not happy with it where I live. It will be sold shortly to add to my metal detecting stash.

Heard many months ago from a good source they are coming out with a real wowzer. Be patient, as time flies. Fisher always comes through.

I want to buy another detector, but waiting a bit. Would love a fisher that can handle water like the At Pro, My wife will be getting a f5, as she likes the
idea that it lets her know when she needs to re balance the unit. My old cz 7a pro is getting tired, please hurry ....thanks

Get a T2se or F75 se. Dave did a wonderful job on these two's discriminators. Put a big aftermarket coil on them & dig just as deep as the CZ's but not the iron. I have a question for Dave. The picture of you with the guitar, what were you playing? John Gardner looked pissed.
