new CTX 3030 goes back

Hi All,
I feel a little better, I took it back, the charger was bad. He had to send for a new one. I charged it on my plug in to the truck.I have no problem with the machine when it is working. You can't tell me you wouldn't be pissed after spending $2400.00 on something that don't work. I still don't know what to do about the exchange DVD. My Mac wont download it.My dealer told me windows wont help me. The PRO Swing is back on the shelf, It was made well, I just don't like all the bulk on me, just a personal preference, not knocking the product.
I am able to download the manual, I can't download the exchange program from the DVD that comes with the CTX. I still feel minelab should give you a manual after dropping 2 grand, and a shirt to boot.
 
LOL I love your response, so does my wife. I got the manual from my dealer, he printed it for me. The plug to the charger was bad. I was really pissed off. I gave him back the pro swing, that had to go. It was to bulky for me, I am short. Thanks for the response, you made me feel a little better.

I am glad your dealer is taking care of it for you. I just print the pdf myself on my printer and then put it in a binder. It would seem that some bright software engineer could figure out a way to make a version of the Exchange 2 for Mac.
 
I had issues with my charger. I sent Minelab a email and they sent me a new one. No questions asked. Great support and i got a email followup to make sure the issue was solved.

Good to hear you're giving it another chance. If you are having trouble with the DVD, you can download XChange2 and the XChange2 manual from Minelab's website.

As to your inability to implement XChange2 on your Apple product, the brochure, the Xchange2 and in the Specifications listing of the CTX, it says that Xchange2 requires a Windows platform. I believe, however, that there have been some who installed a windows program on their Apple product. Here are a couple links to others who have addressed the matter.

In regard to the manual not being printed.....had it been made available in paper form, it would have already become obsolete as it changes as updates are implemented. (e.g. Sea Water, Locking Pinpoint) JMHO HH Randy
 
It was the plug that goes in the wall. The dealer said that Minelba doesn't make the plug part. He had to send for that, I will get it after the holidays. I will be ready to go in the spring. I will have plenty of time to read the manual. Happy New Year to all of you guys. Thank you for putting up with me.
