Never say die!! 14k

Hey everyone! As some of you may already know, my beloved Excal II crapped the bed on me today and for a while I moped around thinking that I was not going to be able to detect for a while. At one point I even considered having a small wake for it, which, really would have consisted of me drinking single malt Scotch and looking at pictures of things I had found with it. I chucked that idea after a conversation and a loan from a great MD friend of mine. I had the good fortune, when I first started, to bump into a fellow detectorist (who happened to have 20+ years of experience) and is a very generous soul. When I went to see him today after what I am now referring to as "my meltdown", he kindly loaned me his old Fischer CZ-20. I thought I should go out and try to figure the thing out tonight and as luck would have it this nice shiny 14k white gold showed up in the scoop for me. I'd like to say thanks to my friend John for helping me out, and also to all of you kind hearted souls who sent me replies and PM's offering to help. You guys are the reason the Forums (and the beaches) are places where I want to spend my time. You guys are the best!

Very Nice Ring, congrads...and to a good friend...Cheers!

So what's up with the Excal? She show signs before she took the bullet?

Can't keep a good man down. Congratulations on your ring. Keep us posted about the Excalibur's diagnosis and treatment. Hopefully it will be something easy to fix. Good Luck!

Ever since u torched ur excal seems like u've been killin it. This, platinum, several other gold rings. I think half this forum is stuff u've found and i love it haha
