I agree completely. Batteries and chargers are a much more complicated subject than meets the eye of the casual observer.

I only have 2 words, Sanyo Eneloop. Check these out. Not available in the states yet.They came out in November 2005 for japan. 2800 nmh. The best on the market.

2800 mah - I guess the explorer would last around 14 -16 hours use with the sanyo's - hey i mite even buy a set of them sometime.

I have disscussed these several times. They promise alot. I hope they deliver. I will be getting a set when available here in the USA. Remember though, batteries are half the equation, a GOOD charger is the rest.
