Neptune Carbon fibre Scoop Handle

That sounds pretty good re the welds breaking. Did you test to failure on any of the handles (ie machine test with recorded # to failure)? Scientific v anecdotal ya know.

No need. If a $20.00 carbon fibre snow shovel handle lasts at least 2 years, then ours should last at least that long:) Seriously, we found no need to perform such testing. Our testing was done in the field by experienced hunters and knowledge gained long ago using our experience with cf shafts over the last 10 years

Sure Jim. The handles were tested in the water, on the beach, in the hardpack, and the gravel/zebra mussels..

Thanks for the response! I'll look into one. I just bought a sunspot carbon fiber and that has a lifetime warranty. I wish it was a longer handle though. I would like to do a comparison video on the two.

Very fair price I would say also..What kind of weight does the average length weigh in at and what kind of guarantee.

One thing on the handle, I have a friend who made scoops, the Diablo which never made it into production. My only complaint to him about his scoops were the grips, similar to yours. You have to look at the grip (orientation mark) to adjust the position of the scoop. On a open beach this is fine but When in deep ruff waters, or murky deep water it can be time consuming and a challenge. A grip that is contoured to your hand like the old orange type you constantly feel which way it is facing. Anyone else have this issue or is it just me getting old...
As you can see from the second picture, feel is the only way one can orientate the scoop

I have colour coded my top 2 inches of shaft yellow / green, so its green when the scoop is facing the correct way.

Hey Jim, you the guy originally from NJ? If so,Good to see your still at it.
