you guys are right, I won't let him borrow it, I am hoping this whole thing will pass, I really do like him and don't like that we are not friends anymore, hopefully we will someday be friends again and I will feel comfortable enough being around him and talking to him, if I do find anything worth any money I am still going to let him keep it, he has more problems then I do and needs the money more.

Quit worrying about it. Move on. My neighbor of 9 years that ate at my table and drank my beer many times got mad at me. I have lived on the same gravel road for almost 50 years. He headed up a movement to chip and seal the gravel road. I told him I was fine with the road the way it was. Plus I had better things to do with $1600 for my share of the road. He got mad at me and ripped our property fence down. Then hired Sears to put vinyl siding on his house. Knowing all well I have installed siding for 25 years. I had to get a lawyer to make him put the fence up. My thoughts are "SCREW HIM" Also he sure as hell ain't going to touch my detector either!
