Hi all, I found this on the beach washed up from the storms. It's about the size of two golf balls, very heavey, a good solid hit on my detector, but won't stick to a magnet. I looked on the net and it says there are meteorites that wont stick to a magnet and they are rare. What do you all think? Gene

Gene you may have a meteorite on your hands.

I just read a little blip on the kelyco website about meteors. The suggestion to test it was to either scrape it across the bottom of a porcelain piece, if it leaves a mark it's a rock. Also, if it's a meteorite it won't chip.

Hope the best for you with this find as they say it could be worth buckaroos.

Aloha, Ike

Having said that, I hope it is a meteorite.. :):
