Need bottle info

I have found three bottles while excavating an old farm house.

1: SUNTEX (Cork top, 32 OZ, AMBER BROWN GLASS, SUNTEX embossed on top and bottom side of bottle, bottom read REG. U.S. PAT. OFF. with SUNTEX in center. I assume it was a bleach bottle. I found a small reference to SUNTEX indicating the bottle was produced by WHITEHALL-TATUM GLASS COMPANY circa 1917 - 1938 Any additional info out there?
Also SUNTEX embossed on lip

2: CLOROX (Cork top, Amber Brown glass, CLOROX embossed on top side of glass with smaller CLOROX and 16 / OZ, the bottom rim has embossed
CLOROX as well and the number 4 0 8 10. Any info on this bottle?
Also CLOROX embossed on lip

3: H J HEINZ CO (Label missing, clear glass, screw top, 18 raised rounded top panels on side, bottom reads H J HEINZ CO PAT D, the number 218 centered, the number 2 followed by a zero or a symbol and the number 8.

My guess is that all these bottle are from the 30's. Thanks to anyone who can provide additional info. It would be nice to know the history.

All are common bottles. Try a google for Heinz.I guess you could call Teresa Kerry?

Thanks.....Heinz sent me an email it was a Vinegar bottle (Common also) from the 30's.

Still want to know about the SUNTEX bottle though.

Have another bottle bottom reads "Griffin" PAT 8389O2 symbol of a Griffin in a circle, the # 5. Cork top, 2 OZ. on neck, rolled lip,
seam on side of bottle does no extend throgh the lip.

Sounds like a Griffen shoe polish bottle about the right size.I remember these from the 50's to early 60's.Most used rubber stoppers.

Found bottle in Levittown Pa digging a patio. Levittown was established in 1952 so 50's 60's sounds about right. There wasn't a label on the bottle. Thanks again.

I found about 30 or 40 of these in the woods today...I dont think someone would dump that many bottles of bleach. Some had corks still in them. Old enough to belong to moonshiners during prohibition????

Found mine while excavating an old farm in Pennsylvania.
There were others but broken. The farm could have been 20's or
30's era..but I'm sure the farm itself was 1800's
Found two common Clorox bottles circa 1932-33 and a Heinz bottle
circa 1940's
I was wondering if SUNEX was a competitor of Clorox at that time.
Eventually folded due to the depression, and the moonshiners used
their bottles for their goods as you mentioned.

I found old Log Cabin syrup & French's Mustard bottles, Pepsodent bottles, also Tuttle's Elixir & Absorbine bottles which were apparently horse products.

My favorite were one quart and one pint sized bottles with the name of a local dairy, "Holly Ravine Farm" on them. The dairy farm is long gone, and a strip center named Holly Ravine Shopping Plaza, that remains at the location.

The bottles that you listed are pretty common and not real valuable and are from the late 30s to the early 40s.
Here is a tip on how to tell if a bottle is old or not. Look closely at the mold seam, the line that runs from the base of the bottle all the way to top indicates that the bottle is machine made, machine made bottle were made from 1903-present. Older more valuable bottles will have a mold seam but the seam will stop right at the neck of the bottle and that indicates that the bottle is hand blown. 1800-1903.
