I went camping with my scout troop this weekend to an old farm built in 1833. The owner didn't have a problem with me detecting but he did say many others have been there.
I went by the house and found this. I thought it was an odd shaped belt buckle until I rinsed it off and found out those were screws around it. Now i have no idea.

Then I headed back halfway up the driveway back to the campsite and some of the younger scouts were trying to find stuff, and i gotta say, they did better than me except in pinpointing. so I ended up digging most of the items. The first decent thing was a 1939 nickle. A few canning lids later this came out of the ground. as soon as I saw it I thought of the NC confederate buckle relics4plus found. Let me know what you think. (I forgot to recheck the hole for the rest!
) I hope I get to go back.
