My thanks to everyone who contributes to this forum. After going through two years of posts, I have just purchased an AT Gold and you have all helped me with my decision.

I am not implying that the AT Gold is "better" than the AT Pro. But given my personal preferences, the Gold simply fit me better.

I also have a Minelab X-Terra for other applications.

Thanks again and I hope to see you in the field, just not my secret hunting spots.

Happy Hunting new AT Gold. Great choice and you did your research, you should be pleased.

And... putting everyone's personal opinions aside ... There are many good detectors out there to consider.
I believe that best detector for anyone is always the one that meets "their" needs for functionality and price point.

Thanks. The detector arrived yesterday and has already been assembled. Those connectors were a bit of a, uh, challenge.
