Oh when will my luck ever change? Got out today for a few hours to my favorite farm field I’ve probably hunted over a hundred times .. I haven’t had any luck here this fall till today.. the challenge is always finding settings that work as good or better than my previous trip..
I got a little jiggly today set it up similar to what I use for micro jewelry hunting.. prospect 1,ground balance 40,sensitivity 21,separation 3,iron bias-FE2, multi frequency…. Was using 6” coil…. Digging only from 10 on up..I like these settings because I still get good depth and the coil seems to give a better signal with less movement as compared to other modes while doing an excellent job ignoring the iron..I also found a thimble and very old cuff link..

A farm field Flying Eagle with a readable date is a good sign that your luck is changing.

Nice digs

This is only the 2nd one I’ve ever found.. the 1st one I found was about 10’ away from where I found this one but that was 5 years ago, probably came out of the same pocket..
That’s very cool heck even Indians are not easy to find and they were minted what 50 years!!

I probably would fall into that 99.999% void….. any idea what could have been in that area way back when? 2cents back then kinda like losing a $20……..

Very nice find👍 Still on my bucket list…
What was the TID?

2 homes ,both I believe to be there from 1700s.. place was also frequented by Indians prior to that..the place has 2 natural springs so people had no choice but to go there..the 2 bust dimes I found were both there too as was the 1793 flowing hair large cent..
that is why I just can’t give up on this site no matter how sparse finds get.. place was inhabited till mid 1970s…. They either lost coins while dismounting off their horse or while washing clothes I suspect because I’ve found quite a few buttons there too..
