My last hunt?

I don't know exactly how long that paper towel has been in service. I found an old post of mine that references it. That was July 2009. I reckon that I'll keep it around until the end of this month. Hopefully, I get one or two more hunts with her before next Sunday. Weather permitting, of course.

Today was OK. I've been out three times this weekend all later in the day. I have been hitting a site that I can walk to from my house. I'm tired of the long drives to some of my best sites. Nothing but clad and a few wheat cents yesterday and Saturday. Tonight I got my first silver coin ever from this site. It was only about 2 inches down. 1929 Merc. I'll test the pendant but I don't think it's silver. Possibly. Thanks for looking!

Chris

MYRB ;)

From the land of the Bluenose.....nothing shabby about those finds. Getting out is half the fun.............getting up from digging a target......not so much fun!

Great clad haul!:clapping:Congrats on the silver!:cheers:Happy Hunting!:)

Last hunt with my trusty paper towel? I guess that wasn't clear in my post. It's been over a year but I'm going to retire her officially on 7/31. The weekend forecast is looking great. Temps in the 70s and no humidity. I'm sure I'll get out at least once or twice.

Chris

Nice clad and great Mercury dime. Ode to the paper towel, you worked so hard. Enjoy your retirement. The paper towel, I mean. I know you'll be out there swinging and digging coins and rings.

A poem? Thanks! I'm afraid her retirement will be a burial at sea. Sort of. Saturday it ends. Alas, we hardly knew her.

Chris

Well, today is the first day of the life of a new paper towel! I wonder if it will last as long as the newly retired one did?
