My headphones broke. Kan't Hear good no more:confused:

So what happened - they completely go ka-poot all a sudden?
I don't know if I can hunt without headphones, I suppose I could but it wouldn't seem right to me.
I have only had one headphone go on me - cord went bad at the jack. Probably from the times getting snagged or me stepping on them unknowingly and standing up. They did take a beating for years as they were used on gold machines for nugget hunting.
That was a few years back. Some of the headphones made today seem to have an improvement in quality to include the cord.
Since my first day of detecting I been using headphones. Had some cheap headphones back then. Had one that had a part that rattled in the ear cup when shaking it, but it worked for months till I got a new and better set.
I always take a backup extra headphone, detector, pinpointer, and batteries at the least.

My memory an't to good at telling me this. But it seems I remember snagging it real good on something. It yanked at the plug end of the cord. That's where it goes on and off if I wiggle it there.

I thought it was my Compadre at first. I would get a response and as I tried to ID it the headphones would guit working and I could'nt locate the target.

Took me two days to figure it out:blink:

HH,

:pulltab:dog, Do you want me to send you an extra pair until you get yours back? I have several pair and could certainly spare a pair. If you like them, you can just keep them. Let me know my deaf friend. Willie

2 days to figure it out !!!!!! That had to put a twist in detecting - lol
I can see where a intermittent problem may cause one to think it may be the machine.
I came home from work once with the roll up foam ear plugs in my ears. A few hours later the wife finally asked why I have them orange things stuck in the sides of my head
Must have had a long day and glad I didn't go detecting with ear plugs in. Or wake up the next day with them still in thinking my hearing is really getting bad - fast.

Hay Tab-nabit,

It was a bad day.

When my Compadre didn't work, I went home to get my Euro and was returning to the park when my son called and was broke down on the freeway. I took him my car and stayed and waited on a wrecker. He had to go work. He has the flu on top of it all.

He blew a rod through the side of the block. The car's not worth fixing. Going to have to scrap it and buy another one for him. He'a just 18.

The next day I took the Killer Bs and an extra MD. Figured it out real quick then.

I got a set of Whites and Fisher M-Scope but they are like trying to hear a conversation through a wall. Just cant quite make it out.

HH,
