JR and Downdeep got me going on relic hunting so I took the day off and went to a Civil War camp and prison here in Illinois. This field has been hunted hard for the past 20 years or more but I always seem to come away with something and today was not the exception. I even got a couple of new things that maybe you relic pros can help me ID. One is the plate with four rivets in the lower right and the other is the pistol teardrop bullet right above it. I found a good collection of .58 three ringers, dropped, carved, smashed, chewed and impact as well as a nice assortment of smaller caliber. In the upper right is a Civil War era merchandising token that is pretty well shot, maybe I will be able to read it tomorrow and below that is a GS button with an intact back which is pretty unusual for this field. They are usually rusted off but this one seems to be a brass back with some writing. I will try to see what it says tomorrow as well. I used my regular modified Hi Pro program.
